Heritage Rooms for Serious Gatherings

Events & Private Meetings

The event spaces at Elvorohotel Retreat occupy the building's original boardroom level - rooms that once hosted the deliberations of Toronto's most consequential financial institutions and retain the weight of that history in every cornice and panel. They serve corporate clients who find that the character of a room shapes the quality of the conversation it contains, as well as private hosts planning gatherings that require a setting with genuine provenance rather than neutral function. Capacity ranges from an intimate 10-seat boardroom to the restored Exchange Hall, which seats 180 for a formal dinner.

Events & Private Meetings

The Exchange Hall

The flagship event space seats 180 for dinner and 250 for a reception, set beneath original coffered plasterwork at nine metres - a room that requires no additional decoration because its architecture performs that function entirely on its own.

Four Boardroom Suites

Each of the four private boardrooms is named for a significant figure in Toronto's commercial founding and fitted with period-appropriate furnishings, modern AV systems concealed within cabinetry, and natural light from deep-set sash windows.

In-House Event Catering by The York Table

All event catering is produced by Chef Okafor's kitchen team using the same sourcing standards as the main restaurant - there is no separate banquet kitchen and no lower standard applied to large-format service.

Dedicated Event Coordinator

A named event coordinator is assigned from initial enquiry through the day itself, available by direct telephone rather than a general enquiries line, and present on-site throughout the event.

Heritage Photography Documentation

An optional in-house photography service documents private events in the style of early twentieth-century portraiture - black-and-white and large-format colour prints delivered within 72 hours, printed on archival paper and bound in a folio.

Post-Event Access to Hotel Amenities

Event guests may extend their evening to the rooftop garden terrace, the private screening room, or the hotel's public areas - an arrangement coordinated by the event team and included in all full-day event packages.
